Sustainabox is the rare stay where the hosts are also the builders. Not a vacation rental with a gimmick: a real container home, designed and built over several years, with fast Wi-Fi, a full kitchen and everything you'd expect from a modern house - just built differently. Staying here gets you more than a place to sleep: the Hill Country list we've never published, the build story if you want it, and hosts who plan travel professionally and are one text away.

THE HONEST PART The house is ready around October, so dates before then are limited. Ask anyway - we can most likely make it happen - and if we can't host you well, I'll say so and point you somewhere better.

HOW BOOKING WORKS (FOR NOW)

Email us your dates and who's coming. We'll confirm availability, agree a rate, and sort payment directly - no platform, no fees on top. An Airbnb listing comes later; direct guests always get our best rate. Full details, the build story and the Stay & Learn weekend live at sustainabox.org. Jen replies within a day or so, once she's got signal.
