Tubing the Yampa River
The Yampa River is a famous river for inner tubing. The popular tubing area is a couple miles long and it’s in Steamboat Springs. These are the things you`ll need for inner tubing on the Yampa River.
- Wear river shoes. It’s really rocky in the Yampa River, and river shoes will protect your feet.
- Make sure to bring a water bottle. The heat makes you really thirsty.
- If you go from the library to the KOA campground, make sure to bring a couple of snacks. It takes about 2 hours.
- There are many hot springs along the Yampa River so be careful.
- Make sure to hold on to the other tube. You can use a dog leash to help stay connected, but don’t tie yourselves together as that can be dangerous.
Have a good time!
